Anita Mtshengu joined Brenthurst Wealth in July 2026 as an Administrator and Receptionist. She brings a strong professional background as a Financial Controller and Reconciliation Specialist, combining extensive experience in managing complex financial records with a meticulous approach to data integrity.
Known for her calm demeanour under pressure and keen eye for detail, Anita bridges the gap between high-level administrative support and analytical precision. She is committed to ensuring that both daily office operations and back-end reporting run seamlessly while delivering professional and efficient support to clients and colleagues alike.
Maritsa Terblanche joined Brenthurst Wealth in July 2025 as a Receptionist. She completed her Bachelor of Education degree at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), Wellington, in 2024.
Driven by a desire to broaden her professional experience and embrace new opportunities, Maritsa transitioned from the education sector to the financial services industry. Since joining Brenthurst Wealth, she has been dedicated to expanding her knowledge and skills while providing professional administrative and client support.

Zuancke joined the team as Administrative Assistant to Charize Beukes in July 2026. She provides comprehensive administrative and operational support, assists with client servicing, manages documentation, coordinates appointments, and helps ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the financial planning process.
Prior to joining the financial services industry, Zuancke built a successful career in education, where she developed exceptional organisational, communication, and relationship management skills. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and client-focused approach enable her to deliver efficient and reliable support to both clients and the advisory team.

Megan joined the Brenthurst Wealth team in March 2026 as an Administrative and Fiduciary Services Assistant at our Val de Vie Office in the Western Cape. Prior to joining Brenthurst, Megan gained three years of experience in the retail sector, where she developed management and client service skills.
Chelsea is an administrative professional with over seven years of experience supporting teams and clients across the insurance and non-profit sectors. In her current role at Brenthurst Wealth Management, she serves as receptionist and provides administrative and client service support, including managing client communications, coordinating meetings, and facilitating onboarding and documentation processes.
Previously, she worked within a women and girls’ empowerment organisation in the non-profit sector, where she assisted with workshop facilitation, event coordination and training initiatives.
Chelsea is highly organised, approachable and committed to delivering efficient, accurate and professional service in every aspect of her work.
Lumari joined Brenthurst Wealth in June 2026 as an HR Manager Assistant. She obtained her LL.B degree from the University of the Western Cape (UWC) in 2021, after which she completed her articles of clerkship and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2023.
With a strong passion for Labour Law and Human Resources, she has also served as an official of the South African United Employers’ Organisation. Her legal background provides her with a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks that govern employment relationships and workplace practices.
She is committed to fostering positive, productive and compliant work environments by balancing legal expertise with a people-centred approach. Jason joined the Brenthurst Wealth Team in 2026 as a Paraplanner, assisting Michelle Heystek in the George office.
Jason brings experience from the insurance sector, where he worked in an Operations since 2022, fulfilling FAIS regulatory requirements including his RE5 and applicable credits.
He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Financial Management through the University of South Africa (UNISA).
Chadlin joined Brenthurst Wealth at our Stellenbosch office in February 2026.
He has been part of the financial planning industry since 2016 and moved into a paraplanning role in 2018, where he found his passion in supporting advisers through detailed planning, client servicing, and high-quality administrative support. Chadlin has gained broad industry exposure through working with a variety of service providers, strengthening his technical understanding and attention to detail across different planning platforms and products.
Chadlin is highly driven, takes pride in delivering excellent support, and is committed to continuous professional growth. He is currently looking to further his studies in financial planning as he continues building a long-term career within the industry.
Salize holds a National Diploma in Financial Information Systems from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and brings 29 years of experience in the financial services industry. Throughout her career, she has played a key role in building and maintaining both new and existing policy administration systems, as well as contributing to large-scale data migration projects.
Her extensive experience spans financial systems architecture, business process alignment, Agile methodology, and the full system life cycle. In 2017, she further strengthened her analytical capabilities by completing a Certificate in Business Analysis.
She joined Brenthurst Wealth in our Tygervalley office in February 2026 as receptionist and an Administrative Assistant.

Esmarelda Isaacs-Andreas joined the Brenthurst Wealth Stellenbosch office in October 2025, taking on the dual role of Receptionist and Fiduciary Administrator.

Before starting at Brenthurst, she worked as an Administrative Clerk at a medical institution. Angelique Anderson is an Administrative Assistant in Brenthurst Wealth’s Pretoria office with over 25 years of experience spanning the financial, legal, and executive support sectors across South Africa and international markets.
She has built extensive expertise in offshore investments, foreign exchange transactions, international investment platforms, and complex cross-border administrative processes, supported by a strong foundation in compliance, asset finance, and regulatory requirements.
Recognised for her exceptional organisational skills, discretion, and meticulous attention to detail, Angelique plays a pivotal role in supporting sophisticated local and offshore client portfolios. Ashley joined Brenthurst Wealth in January 2025 as Office Administrative Assistant and Receptionist for the Stellenbosch Office.
With over a decade of retail planning experience, Ashley has honed her skills in navigating the dynamic industry landscape. As a Senior Planner at both Truworths and Pep, she developed a keen eye for trend forecasting and strategic inventory management.
Ashley holds a BA in International Studies from Stellenbosch University, equipping her with a global perspective that enhances her ability to provide exceptional customer service and administrative support.
Michelle joined the Brenthurst Wealth Team in 2025 as a paraplanner assisting Iniel Van Zyl and Leslie Greyling in our Fourways office.
Michelle is a graduate of the University of Stellenbosch, where she obtained her Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Management Science, with a focal area in Financial Management, in 2024. She subsequently completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning in 2025 through Stellenbosch Business School. Currently, she is pursuing her Postgraduate Diploma in Investment Planning through the University of the Free State to further enhance her technical expertise in the financial sector.
Kim Doolan has recently joined Brenthurst Wealth as internal tax practitioner in the Val de Vie Office.
With a proven track record of success in both public and private sector, which includes eight years at the South African Revenue Service, she has experience in ensuring compliance across all tax types as well as mitigating risks associated with tax obligations.
Kim obtained her Master of Commerce in Taxation from Rhodes University and is currently studying to achieve a Professional Certificate in Principles of International Taxation.
Lyroné joined Brenthurst Wealth in July 2024 as an executive personal assistant to Michelle Burger at our George Office.
Since 2015, she has been dedicated to the financial planning and insurance industry, supporting financial advisors in delivering comprehensive financial solutions to clients. Her academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree in Human Movement Science, followed by an Honours degree in Sport and Leisure in Society.
Driven by a desire to contribute more directly to clients’ financial well-being, she transitioned into a role supporting financial advisors and pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning. This educational background, combined with practical industry experience, has equipped her with a unique perspective and skill set to assist in designing and executing bespoke financial strategies.
TANIA joined the Brenthurst Wealth team in April 2024.
She has been in the financial planning industry since 2013 and is currently assisting Maria Smit at our Pretoria office, as an experienced administrative assistant.

Retha is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and is a member of the Financial Planning Institute of South Africa (FPI). She has been active in the financial services industry since 1995 and joined the Brenthurst Wealth team in March 2024 as an Executive Administrative Assistant and Paraplanner to Director and Investment Strategist Magnus Heystek.
Retha is an experienced financial professional who gained extensive and valuable knowledge and experience in her various roles throughout her career, both locally and internationally, whilst residing in England.
Retha holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (NQF8) from Stellenbosch University Business School and completed the Investment Foundations Exam from the CFA Institute. Retha completed her First Level Regulatory Examination for Representatives (RE5), permitting her to advise clients on a wide range of investment-related matters.
René Heystek joined Brenthurst Wealth in November 2023, as receptionist and administrative assistant in the newly established George/Garden Route office.
Her diverse experience has afforded her a comprehensive understanding of administrative and sales operations. Over the years she has undertaken multifaceted roles, specialising in aiding companies in establishing businesses and structures. René entered the real estate industry in 2015 and qualified as a Real Estate Professional when obtaining her PDE4 qualification in 2018. She brings a unique blend of administrative, sales and managerial expertise to her work.
Diane Billson joined Brenthurst Wealth in August 2023 as Receptionist/Office Administration Assistant for the Stellenbosch office.
Throughout her career, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience having worked as PA and Office Manager to various senior executives and partners in Banks and Law Firms and is committed to enhancing client experience with Brenthurst Wealth.
Michelle Heystek has built a career in the financial services over the last two decades, after obtaining her B.Com degree in Financial Management in 2005. Once she joined Brenthurst in 2006, she continued her academic journey, obtaining her Certificate in Wealth Management from INSETA in 2007, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of the Free State. In 2008, she earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation.
Her career includes experience at Ninety One (formerly Investec Asset Management) as well as in the commercial property sector, equipping her with a broad understanding of financial markets and client needs. After a career break of a few years to focus on raising her two children, she rejoined Brenthurst in 2023 and is now a Financial Advisor at Brenthurst’s George branch.
Michelle’s combination of experience, academic achievements and dedication to personalized client service enables her to deliver holistic financial planning and advice.
Maryka joined Brenthurst in 2023 as the Receptionist in Tygervalley office and Administrative Assistant to head of the office, Suzean Haumann CFP®
She has over 40 years of administrative work experience. Over her extensive career she has been employed by some of South Africa’s big companies such as Sanlam and Santam.
Prior to joining Brenthurst she completed a decade of service at Thura Brokers as an underwriter. She is new to the financial services industry and is looking forward to broadening her knowledge in this regard.
In her new role at Brenthurst, Maryka is eager to use her skills and experience to contribute to the company’s success.
Lloyd joined the Brenthurst Wealth Team in 2023 as a paraplanner/advisor and currently works under the direct supervision of Brian Butchart in our Cape Town office.
He obtained his BCom (Investment and Financial Management) degree from the University of Stellenbosch, as well as his Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning through the Stellenbosch Business School.
Lloyd previously worked in the IT Services industry as a data officer for Wyzetalk before beginning his career in financial services with Brenthurst. He is passionately driven to help individuals achieve their lifetime financial goals and, thus, is working towards earning his CFP® designation to enable him to provide advice on all financial matters.
Rina Hendricks joined Brenthurst Wealth Management in April 2022 as an Administrative Assistant to Danine Van Zyl and Iniel van Zyl.
Rina has more than 50 years experience in the banking and Financial Industry across various fields in banking, risk, investments, linked investments, employee benefits, death claims and Estates for various Companies like African Life, Sanlam, Southern Life, M Cubed Capital, Gerry Pienaar and Associates Pty Ltd, Private Wealth Management with Old Mutual, Hisec Wealth Management (Pty) Ltd and Ascent Wealth Management Pty Ltd with a strong focus on Management and admin processes relating to the various financial products and Companies.
She served as active member on the Job Evaluation Board Committee at Southern Life and on SEMCO, the internal staff union as negotiator for annual salary increases and Disciplinary processes. She obtained her diploma in Labour Relations from RAU in 1998.
She obtained her CFP® in 2020 through the Financial Planning Industry of Southern Africa (FPI) and her RE5 in 2012 also through the Financial Planning Industry of South Africa.
She was nominated for Exceptional Administration Service for several years with Southern Life and also received a special Chairman’s Award from Neil Chapman for excellent Customer Services rendered to various of the Brokers she dealt with. She received the Area Managers Award in 2014 as Senior Administration Assistant at Private Wealth Management at Old Mutual in Clearwater office park in Roodepoort.
ANJE joined Brenthurst Wealth in April 2022 as a Paraplanner for Marise Smit, in the Pretoria office.
She has more than 10 years experience as a Financial Advisor Assistant dealing daily with new business and customer service, followed by 10 years as a Portfolio Administrator in a Corporate Company of which the last 3 years she dealt exclusively with Local and Offshore Investments.

Elaine joined Brenthurst in 2021 providing accounting services from processing up to management accounts.
She obtained a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of Stellenbosch and a B.Compt.Honors degree from UNISA. She has gained more than 15 years of accounting experience across various industries.
Anelle joined Brenthurst Wealth as a Receptionist and Administrative Assistant to Brian Butchart in the Cape Town office in December 2023. She has a wealth of knowledge from working as a liaison between Financial Advisers and clients at TMA and Absa Investment Management Services (Aims) since 1998. She obtained her B. com degree from the University of Port Elizabeth in 1997.
Lisé joined Brenthurst Wealth in October 2021 as an administrative assistant to Danine and Iniel van Zyl in the Fourways office.
Lise manages all client administration functions as well as new business processes and submitting portfolio updates to ensure the client experience is as smooth as possible.
Prior to joining Brenthurst she worked at Ruimsig Wealth Bluestar (Sanlam) for four years where she obtained invaluable experience.
Ruan joined Brenthurst Wealth in 2021 as Wealth Manager in our Stellenbosch office. He obtained his BCom Financial Sciences degree from the University of Pretoria in 2018 and subsequently enrolled with CIMA (Chartered Institute for Management Accountants) as a prospective CGMA candidate. In addition, he completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Investment Management at the University of the Free State in 2021.
Before joining Brenthurst, Ruan gained valuable experience in the tax and advisory field at Crowe Tax and Advisory Services in Stellenbosch.
Ruan is fully qualified to provide advice on all investment matters.
YOLANDI joined Brenthurst Wealth in June 2021 as an Administrative Assistant to assist Erna Mare at Reception in the Fourways Office.
Prior to assisting Brenthurst, she gained 18 years’ experience at a labour broker company as an office administrator, assisting with all customers’ queries, accounts, and contracts.
She has obtained a B.A. degree (Political Science) at the former RAU
Dorothy joined Brenthurst Wealth Management in July 2021, focusing on Employee Benefits and assisting clients with Pension and Provident Fund related administration under the direct supervision of Magnus Heystek.
Dorothy has more than 40 years experience in the Financial Industry across various Financial Services Milieus, with a strong focus on processes relating to various financial products.
She obtained her REGISTERED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2010 (also known as the RFP™ designation) through the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa (FPI).
Heidi was appointed in July 2021, joining our Cape Town team as an Executive Assistant to Brian Butchart, Brenthurst Wealth’s Managing Director.
She joined the financial industry in 1982 and gained valuable experience working at several providers like Sanlam, Citadel, AIMS, PPS, Alexander Forbes and Graviton Wealth Management. She spent her last 4.5 years working at Graviton Wealth Management as an Executive Financial Assistant.
She obtained her National Certificate in Wealth Management in 2009.
Charize joined the Brenthurst Wealth team in April 2021 as a Financial Advisor. She obtained her BCom (Hons) in Management Accounting from the University of South Africa (UNISA) and has been working in the finance industry for over 10 years.
Charize is registered with SAIPA as a Professional Accountant and Tax Practitioner. Charize completed her Class of Business and Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning through the University of the Free State.
Charize is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, a member of the Financial Planning Institute of SA and is fully qualified to give advice on all investment matters.
Melissa joined Brenthurst Wealth in November 2019. She currently is working as an administrative assistant and receptionist at the Yacht Club office in Cape Town.
Kelly joined the Brenthurst Mauritius team in February 2021 to gain experience in the financial and investment industry. Currently, she assists Yolande Butchart in all forex-related admin matters.
Other responsibilities include the opening of offshore bank accounts as well as general investment administration in Mauritius.
Kelly’s previous experience includes the tourism and food industry, where she attained invaluable experience delivering exceptional service to patrons.
MARI joined our Mauritius office in October 2020 and has been implementing and setting up the new payroll infrastructure for Brenthurst Wealth Management.
She has had a long career with Edcon (previously known as Edgars Group Ltd) which included Centralisation of HR Admin, HR Manager, Managed the processing of payrolls for 25000 monthly and 45000 weekly paid staff, Training and upskilling staff and stores on policies and procedures and take on of new Acquisitions for the group
Mari has a diploma in Payroll administration and during 2011, she was tasked with the take-on implementation of Sage VIP Payroll for the Edcon Group across borders (RSA, Namibia, Swaziland, Botswana, Lesotho, Ghana, Zambia)
Celeste joined Brenthurst Wealth in February 2021 and is currently an administrative assistant to Arin Ruttenberg in the Sandton office.
Her main responsibilities include handling requests and queries from clients, assisting with new business processes and submitting portfolio updates to ensure the client experience is as smooth as possible.
Prior to joining Brenthurst she worked in the short-term insurance industry for four years where she obtained invaluable experience. Her qualification includes (1) Risk Management Certificate NQF Lvl-6 (2) Programme in Short Term Insurance NQF Lvl-6 and (3) RE.5.
Lauren joined Brenthurst Wealth in April 2021 as a Receptionist and Administrative Assistant at the Stellenbosch office. Over time, she has expanded her role and now serves as the Compliance and Human Resources Assistant to Director and General Manager Malissa Conlin.
With a strong background in administrative support, Lauren is highly skilled in compliance, communication, and management.
Lauren’s academic credentials include a Diploma in Executive Business Coaching from the University of Cape Town, showcasing her commitment to professional development. She is currently pursuing her Compliance Certification and her Regulatory 1 Certification to further enhance her expertise in the field.
Roné joined Brenthurst Wealth in March 2021 as an administrative assistant to André Basson in the Val de Vie office. In 2022, she relocated to the Tyger Valley office, where she progressed into a paraplanner role.
She currently provides paraplanning support to Suzean Haumann, CFP®, Head of Brenthurst Tyger Valley, André Basson, CFP®, Head of Brenthurst Val de Vie, as well as Aidan Freswick.
Roné has completed an Advanced Certificate in Financial Planning (NQF6) and is currently pursuing her Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning, as she works towards becoming a Certified Financial Planner®. She is also registered with the FPI for FSA membership approval.
With five years of experience in the financial services industry, Roné is currently working under supervision and is increasingly involved in client engagements, where she assists with investment planning discussions and the preparation of client recommendations as part of her continued professional development. She is passionate about educating younger individuals on investing, saving, and how the financial decisions they make today can shape their future.

Iniel van Zyl joined Brenthurst Wealth in 2020 following a distinguished legal career, where he gained extensive experience in complex corporate and commercial matters. His strategic insight, technical expertise and leadership were quickly recognised, leading to his appointment as Head of the Brenthurst Wealth Fourways Office within two years.
As Head of the Fourways Office, Iniel combines legal, financial and commercial expertise to provide strategic guidance on complex investment, wealth structuring and succession planning matters. He is committed to building enduring client relationships based on technical excellence, integrity and trusted advice.
Iniel is an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and holds a BCom (Law) and LLB from the University of South Africa. He has also completed postgraduate qualifications in Compliance, Financial Planning, Investment Planning, Money Laundering Control, Corporate Governance and Compliance (Cum Laude).
He completed a Master of Laws (LLM) in Banking, Corporate Finance and Securities Law through the University of South Africa in 2023, followed by a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of the Free State in 2026.
TANITA joined Brenthurst Wealth in 2020 and currently holds the position of financial advisor at the Pretoria office.

Sarah joined Brenthurst Wealth in 2020 as a Senior Administration Assistant to Director and Investment Strategist Magnus Heystek.

Throughout her career, she has consistently delivered a high level of service ensuring that processes run as seamlessly as possible.
Sanet was appointed in April 2020, joining our Cape Town team as an Executive Administration Assistant to Renee Eagar. She has been in the financial services industry since 1990. Her previous experience includes positions at Sanlam, BJM and ABSA. She spent her last 12 years working at Alexander Forbes Private Client Wealth as a Senior Wealth Management Assistant. She has received numerous accolades over the years which include but not limited to, Alexander Forbes Client Service Excellence – Silver award in 2014,2015 and 2017. Sanet has also obtained her Certificate in Wealth Management (NQF 5) in 2012 and achieved “Best Student of the Year” from Moonstone.
ROCCO joined Brenthurst Wealth in 2020 as a Financial Advisor under the direct supervision of Magnus Heystek at our Fourways branch.
Rocco is driven and passionate about the financial services industry. He obtained a B.COM (Management Sciences) degree through Stellenbosch University, and most recently his Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning through University of the Free State.

Joyce joined our Brenthurst team in October 2019, working in our office in Fourways. She was born and raised in Limpopo. She is responsible for managing all catering services for clients ensuring high standards are maintained at all times.

LARA joined the Brenthurst Wealth team in November 2019 as an Administrative Assistant to Mags Heystek at our Sandton office.
She manages client administration, which includes portfolio updates and new business. Prior to joining Brenthurst she was a Registration Specialist at VAT Global. Lara has a passion for dance and in addition to owning her own dance studio, was a ballet instructor and choreographer at different schools. She is a registered dance teacher and holds a qualification from the Royal Academy of Dance.
Juanita joined the Brenthurst team in January 2020, as a legal assistant to Rozanne Heystek-Potgieter with a main focus to assist with deceased estates.
Juanita has 18 years of experience as a legal secretary with a wealth of knowledge in MVA claims, insolvent estates, and most recently conveyancing matters.
LEE joined Brenthurst Wealth in February 2020 as Office Administrative Assistant and Receptionist for the Stellenbosch office.
Before joining Brenthurst she worked in the Architectural field for 12 years in different roles, including Reception and Personal Assistant to several Directors.
STEFAN joined the Brenthurst Wealth team in November 2019 as a Financial Advisor at the Stellenbosch office. He has obtained his BCom degree in Investment Management and a BCom (Hons.) in Financial Analysis from Stellenbosch University.
He is also currently a CFA Level lll candidate and will, in time, pursue his studies further in order to obtain his Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning.

Desmond started his career as a Commercial Banker in 1983, and later became involved with Private Banking and Wealth Management in 1999.
He gained extensive experience in managing relationships with High-Net-Worth Families, Financial Planning and Fiduciary matters while with the Absa Group and Standard Bank.
Desmond is head of financial planning at our Johannesburg office. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Tax Practitioner and is fully qualified to give advice on all investment matters.

JEANIQUE joined Brenthurst Wealth in February 2019 as an Assistant Financial Adviser under the direct supervision of Johan Burger, in the Pretoria office.

YOLANDE has been in the banking industry since 2004 and moved into a specialized field of collateral management when joining Nedbank Investor Services.
In 2013 she joined the ABSA collateral team and joined Investec in 2016. She moved to Mauritius in 2018 and spent some time at Barclays Bank Mauritius thereafter joining our Mauritius office, Brent Wealth Management as a Foreign Exchange Consultant.

Maria Smit is a Certified Financial Planner® with over 10 years of experience in the financial planning industry.
She has been part of Brenthurst Wealth for the past 6 years, where she plays a key role in providing independent, client-focused financial advice. Maria holds both the RE1 and RE5 regulatory certificates, authorising her to give professional advice and to serve as the Key Individual for Brenthurst Wealth’s Pretoria office. Her expertise spans investment planning, retirement strategies and estate planning, where she is committed to delivering tailored solutions that align with her clients’ long-term financial goals.
GERALDINE joined our team at BMW on January 2019.
She is designated as Administrator Assistant to our Magnus Jnr Heystek and Danine van Schalkwyk. Having earned her diploma of Executive Secretary Human Resources Management from College SA, she understands the process of recruiting and business organisations. As a researcher administrator, she gained her skills as an office administrator. She particularly enjoyed working within the corporate industry where patience and persistence was her key motivator. Geraldine is based at our Fourways Offices, Johannesburg.
GAVIN ESTERHUYZEN joined Brenthurst Wealth in July 2018 as a Junior Financial Planner under the supervision of Certified Financial Planner Johan Burger.
He qualified with a BSc Mathematical Statistics degree in 2012 from the University of South Africa as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning at the University of the Free State in 2017. He also passed the CFA Level 1 examination and is currently studying towards the CFP and CFA designation.
Gavin previously worked at Simeka (Sanlam) Consultants and Actuaries, gaining exposure to Retirement fund valuations and also worked at ABSA Private Bank being mostly involved with Investment analysis.
André joined Brenthurst Wealth in 2018 and is head of the Val de Vie Estate office. In 2020 he was awarded as one of South Africa’s top three Relationship Managers in the SA’s Intellidex Wealth Manager and Private Banks Awards.
André obtained his BCom degree from Stellenbosch University, finishing top of his financial planning class. His postgraduate studies include a BCom (Hons) degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning, also from Stellenbosch University.
He obtained his Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning (Cum Laude) from the University of the Free State. He also recently completed his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification as well as his postgraduate diploma in financial planning from Millpark Business School.

Christoff has obtained his Advanced National Certificate in Financial Planning through Milpark and is currently studying to achieve his NQF 7 in order to proceed in obtaining his Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning.
DALEEN joined Brenthurst Wealth as a Media and Communications Consultant at the start of 2015.

Working closely with leadership and teams across the business, she ensures a consistent brand message across channels and supports educational events and communications that enhance the client experience.
LESLIE joined Brenthurst Wealth Management in 2018 as a Risk and Investment Advisor.
Leslie obtained her National Certificate in Financial Services, Wealth Management, in 2014 and she has been in the financial services industry since 1998.

KERRY joined Brenthurst Wealth in March 2017 as an Administrative Assistant to Sonia du Plessis in our Stellenbosch office. In 1996, after a year as a high school maths and science teacher, she entered the financial services industry as a Pension Fund Administrator at Alexander Forbes, Windhoek.
Three years later she relocated to the Western Cape and joined Momentum for a short stint. She was then recruited by Alexander Forbes Financial Services in Stellenbosch where she spent the next 16 years; the first 6 years as a Senior Pension Fund Administrator and the next 10 years as a financial advisor assistant.
RONELLE joined Brenthurst Wealth in April 2013. She gained 24 years of valuable experience at Sanlam Life as a Personal Assistant to Senior Management as well as other key administrative support positions throughout her career.
Ronelle is the Administrative Assistant to André Basson who sits in our Tygervalley and Stellenbosch offices.
DALEEN was appointed in August 2016, joining our Cape Town team as an Executive Administrative Assistant to Brian Butchart, Brenthurst Wealth’s Managing Director. She joined the insurance industry in 1986 and gained valuable experience working at several providers like Sanlam, Southern Life, Momentum and AIMS.
She spent her last 10 years working at Alexander Forbes Financial Planning Consultants where she was appointed as part of the Wealth Management team and had the opportunity to serve as the Administration Manager of the Western Cape Region for her last 8 years. She managed an administration staff compliment of 22 people and rotated between the Cape Town and Stellenbosch offices. She obtained her Advanced Certification in Financial planning in 2013.
Greer joined Brenthurst Wealth in 2016 and is currently the Executive Personal Assistant to the Head of the Tygervalley office, Suzean Haumann CFP®.
Greer started her career in the financial industry in 1990 and has gained extensive and valuable knowledge and experience in her various roles throughout her career, both locally in South Africa as well as internationally while residing in New Zealand for 5 years.
She completed the RE5 examination and obtained her RE5 Certificate in 2014. Furthermore, she successfully completed the Introduction to Financial Planning and obtained her NQF5 Wealth Management Certificate in 2022.
RENÉ joined Brenthurst Wealth in June 2017 as Administrative Assistant to Marise Smit and Receptionist in our Pretoria office. Her previous experiences include 20 years in the insurance industry, of which 3 years was in Sanlam’s Legal Department.
In 1992 she received an offer to join PPS (Professional Provident Society) as a Broker Consultant. During her first three years of employment with the Society, she completed her Diploma in Marketing Management and was promoted to Senior Marketing Consultant. René worked at PPS for seven years and later joined Citadel Investment Services, in the Compliance Department where she obtained valuable experience.
MAGDA joined Brenthurst Wealth in January 2014, as an Administrative Assistant for the Pretoria branch.
Magda entered the financial services industry in 2011 when she joined CUBrokers in Klerksdorp as an assistant to one of their planners. When her boss decided to open her own business, Magda followed her and served as her right hand in building up “Bprepared Brokers” from scratch—assisting her with client queries and general administrative duties. She left their employ when she moved to Pretoria. Prior to that Magda also worked as a chef for a guesthouse in the English countryside.
YOLANDI joined Brenthurst Wealth at the beginning of 2012. She is the Administrative Assistant for Johan Burger at our Pretoria office, focusing on portfolio updates as well as financial administration.
She has a BA Degree in Physical Education, an Honors Degree in Biokinetics as well as her Masters Degree in Human Movement Sciences.
Karen joined Brenthurst in April 2016 and has grown within the organisation over the past decade. She currently serves as a Paraplanner to Mags Heystek and Arin Ruttenberg in the Sandton office, working under their direct supervision. Karen is also a foreign exchange consultant and is qualified to assist clients with forex-related matters.
She has more than 10 years’ experience in the financial services sector, with a strong background in financial advisory support, client administration and financial planning support. Since joining Brenthurst in July 2014, Malissa has been responsible for the overall oversight and management of the business. Malissa is a qualified non-practising attorney, admitted to the High Court of South Africa (Western Cape). Prior to joining Brenthurst, Megan gained three years of experience in the retail sector, where she developed management and client service skills.
I obtained my National Diploma in Financial Information Systems from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in 1999 and have worked in the wealth management industry since January 2000. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience in various roles, including Portfolio Manager Assistant, Planner Assistant, and Paraplanner.
Esmarelda Isaacs-Andreas joined the Brenthurst Wealth Stellenbosch office in October 2025, taking on the dual role of Receptionist and Fiduciary Administrator.

Ashley joined Brenthurst Wealth in January 2025 as Office Administrative Assistant and Receptionist for the Stellenbosch Office.
René Heystek joined Brenthurst Wealth in November 2023, as receptionist and administrative assistant in the newly established George/Garden Route office.
Michelle Heystek has built a career in the financial services over the last two decades, after obtaining her B.Com degree in Financial Management in 2005. Once she joined Brenthurst in 2006, she continued her academic journey, obtaining her Certificate in Wealth Management from INSETA in 2007, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of the Free State. In 2008, she earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation.
Anelle joined Brenthurst Wealth as a Receptionist and Administrative Assistant to Brian Butchart in the Cape Town office in December 2023. She has a wealth of knowledge from working as a liaison between Financial Advisers and clients at TMA and Absa Investment Management Services (Aims) since 1998. She obtained her B. com degree from the University of Port Elizabeth in 1997.

Sanet was appointed in April 2020, joining our Cape Town team as an Executive Administration Assistant to Renee Eagar. She has been in the financial services industry since 1990. Her previous experience includes positions at Sanlam, BJM and ABSA. She spent her last 12 years working at Alexander Forbes Private Client Wealth as a Senior Wealth Management Assistant. She has received numerous accolades over the years which include but not limited to, Alexander Forbes Client Service Excellence – Silver award in 2014,2015 and 2017. Sanet has also obtained her Certificate in Wealth Management (NQF 5) in 2012 and achieved “Best Student of the Year” from Moonstone.
