Roné joined Brenthurst Wealth in March 2021 as an administrative assistant to André Basson in our Val de Vie (Paarl) office. In 2022, she relocated to the Tyger Valley office, began her studies towards the NQF5 Wealth Management Certificate and transitioned to a para-planner role.
She currently works for Suzean Haumann, CFP® and head of Brenthurst Tyger Valley, and André Basson, CFP® and head of Brenthurst Val de Vie. Roné’s goal is to complete her studies and eventually obtain a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning.
Charize joined the Brenthurst Wealth team in April 2021 as a Financial Advisor under the direct supervision of Maria Smit CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®. She obtained her BCom (Hons) in Management Accounting from the University of South Africa (UNISA) and has been working in the finance industry for over 10 years.
Charize is registered with SAIPA as a Professional Accountant and Tax Practitioner. Charize completed her Class of Business and Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning through the University of the Free State.
Charize is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®️ professional, a member of the Financial Planning Institute of SA and is fully qualified to give advice on all investment matters.
Lloyd joined the Brenthurst Wealth Team in 2023 as a paraplanner/advisor and currently works under the direct supervision of Brian Butchart in our Stellenbosch office.
He obtained his BCom (Investment and Financial Management) degree from the University of Stellenbosch, as well as his Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning through the Stellenbosch Business School.
Lloyd previously worked in the IT Services industry as a data officer for Wyzetalk before beginning his career in financial services with Brenthurst. He is passionately driven to help individuals achieve their lifetime financial goals and, thus, is working towards earning his CFP® designation to enable him to provide advice on all financial matters.
Michelle has been in the financial services industry since 2006, beginning her career at Brenthurst Wealth after earning her BCom degree in Financial Management from UNISA in 2005. Whilst working she continued her studies and first obtained her Certificate of Wealth Management from INSETA in 2007 and then went on to complete her Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning with the University of the Free State, whereupon she acquired her Certified Financial Planner designation in 2008.
Michelle’s career includes several years of corporate experience at Investec Asset Management (now Ninety One) and a short period in the commercial property sector. With over 18 years of industry experience and a solid educational background, Michelle is well-equipped to provide comprehensive financial planning and advice.
Malissa is the General Manager of Brenthurst Wealth, is the head of our Fiduciary Services Department in the Western Cape and acts as Brenthurst’s internal legal advisor and compliance officer.
MALISSA joined the Brenthurst Team in July 2014. She is responsible for general oversight and management functions for Brenthurst, will consultation and drafting, estate planning, deceased estate administration, and all matters of a legal, compliance and human resource nature.
She is a qualified Attorney, admitted as such in the High Court of South Africa (Western Cape High Court), having obtained a B.Com Law degree from the University of Johannesburg, an LLB degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA), and a further certificate in Estate Planning from Milpark.
Malissa also successfully passed her FISA examination in 2017. Since 2018 she acts as a Fiduciary Practitioner of South Africa®, a registered designation conferred by the Fiduciary Institute of Southern Africa®.
Sue Heystek is the marketing director and co-founder of Brenthurst Wealth, a leading boutique wealth manager in South Africa.
She is responsible for planning and executing the marketing strategy of the company, coordinating the marketing activities, such as advertising, promotions, events, and online presence. She also analyzes the market trends, competitors, and customers to help the company achieve its goals and increase its brand awareness. She has been with Brenthurst Wealth since its inception in 2004.
DALEEN joined Brenthurst Wealth as a Media and Communications Consultant at the start of 2015.
She manages media liaison for the company and contributes content for various platforms ranging from client newsletters, the Brenthurst Blog and social media profiles. She started her career as a business journalist and has extensive experience in public relations and corporate communication in the financial services industry.
She has a B.Com (Industrial Psychology and Economics) degree and is currently studying Brand and Marketing Management.
JOHAN is head of financial planning and the key individual at the George and Pretoria office, and a director of Brenthurst Wealth Management (Pty) Ltd.
Johan obtained a B.Com degree in Financial Management from the University of South Africa in 2004. Additional qualifications include two years at Lynn University in the USA where he qualified in international business.
Johan initially gained experience at Interdynamics, an Australian Risk Analyst Company. He joined Brenthurst Wealth in 2006 and completed his National Certificate in Wealth Management.
Johan is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, a member of the Financial Planning Institute of South Africa and is fully qualified to give advice on all investment matters.
RENEE is head of the Claremont office. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and a member of the Financial Planning Institute of South Africa.
Renee received the prestigious SA Top Wealth Manager Award at the 2024 Krutham Top Private Banks and Wealth Manager Awards. Additionally, she was also recognised as one of SA’s top three financial advisors at the 2022 Intellidex Awards.
Renee has been in the financial services industry since 1998 and has worked for institutions such as TMA and Investec Asset Management. She obtained her Higher Certificate in Financial Markets in 2004 and attained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation in 2006.
Renee is fully qualified to give advice on all investment matters.
Lyroné joined Brenthurst Wealth in July 2024 as an executive personal assistant to Michelle Burger at our George Office.
Since 2015, she has been dedicated to the financial planning and insurance industry, supporting financial advisors in delivering comprehensive financial solutions to clients. Her academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree in Human Movement Science, followed by an Honours degree in Sport and Leisure in Society.
Driven by a desire to contribute more directly to clients’ financial well-being, she transitioned into a role supporting financial advisors and pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning. This educational background, combined with practical industry experience, has equipped her with a unique perspective and skill set to assist in designing and executing bespoke financial strategies.
ARIN, based in Brenthurst Wealth’s Sandton office, has been working in the financial services industry since 2013.
With experience at Investec, Momentum Wealth International and Brenthurst Wealth Management, he brings a wealth of expertise as a financial advisor.
He has been at Brenthurst since 2016 and holds a BCom degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of the Free State.
Arin’s passion for financial planning drives him to continuously expand his knowledge, ensuring he can assist clients in achieving their financial goals. He has successfully completed the First Level Regulatory Examination for Representatives, enabling him to provide comprehensive investment advice.
Lauren joined Brenthurst Wealth in April 2021 as Receptionist and an Admin Assistant to the financial and fiduciary departments at our Stellenbosch office.
She is an experienced assistant, skilled in customer service, communication and project management.
Lauren obtained a Diploma focused in Executive Business Coaching from the University of Cape Town.
Retha joined Brenthurst Wealth in March 2024 as an Executive Administrative Assistant and Paraplanner to Director and Investment Strategist Magnus Heystek.
Retha started her career in the financial industry in 1995 and has gained extensive and valuable knowledge and experience in her various roles throughout her career, both locally and internationally, while residing in England for 2 years.
Retha completed her Regulatory Examination for Representatives (RE5) and Investment Foundations Exam from the CFA Institute in 2019, as well as her Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (NQF8) from Stellenbosch University Business School in 2022.
Marise has been a financial adviser in our Pretoria office since April 2015.
She was recognised as Brenthurst’s Top Financial Adviser in 2020, receiving the Brenthurst Award of Excellence.
Marise obtained BCom Investment Management & BCom (Hons.) Financial Management degrees from the University of Pretoria. She also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of the Free State.

René Heystek joined Brenthurst Wealth in November 2023, as receptionist and administrative assistant in the newly established George/Garden Route office.
Her diverse experience has afforded her a comprehensive understanding of administrative and sales operations. Over the years she has undertaken multifaceted roles, specialising in aiding companies in establishing businesses and structures. René entered the real estate industry in 2015 and qualified as a Real Estate Professional when obtaining her PDE4 qualification in 2018. She brings a unique blend of administrative, sales and managerial expertise to her work.
LESLIE joined Brenthurst Wealth Management in 2018 as a Risk and Investment Advisor.
Leslie obtained her National Certificate in Financial Services, Wealth Management, in 2014 and she has been in the financial services industry since 1998.

Diane Billson joined Brenthurst Wealth in August 2023 as Receptionist/Office Administration Assistant for the Stellenbosch office.
Throughout her career, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience having worked as PA and Office Manager to various senior executives and partners in Banks and Law Firms and is committed to enhancing client experience with Brenthurst Wealth.
MARI joined our Mauritius office in October 2020 and has been implementing and setting up the new payroll infrastructure for Brenthurst Wealth Management.
She has had a long career with Edcon (previously known as Edgars Group Ltd) which included Centralisation of HR Admin, HR Manager, Managed the processing of payrolls for 25000 monthly and 45000 weekly paid staff, Training and upskilling staff and stores on policies and procedures and take on of new Acquisitions for the group
Mari has a diploma in Payroll administration and during 2011, she was tasked with the take-on implementation of Sage VIP Payroll for the Edcon Group across borders (RSA, Namibia, Swaziland, Botswana, Lesotho, Ghana, Zambia)
Kelly joined the Brenthurst Mauritius team in February 2021 to gain experience in the financial and investment industry. Currently, she assists Yolande Butchart in all forex-related admin matters.
Other responsibilities include the opening of offshore bank accounts as well as general investment administration in Mauritius.
Kelly’s previous experience includes the tourism and food industry, where she attained invaluable experience delivering exceptional service to patrons.
YOLANDE has been in the banking industry since 2004 and moved into a specialized field of collateral management when joining Nedbank Investor Services.
In 2013 she joined the ABSA collateral team and joined Investec in 2016. She moved to Mauritius in 2018 and spent some time at Barclays Bank Mauritius thereafter joining our Mauritius office, Brent Wealth Management as a Foreign Exchange Consultant.
She also assists our clients with opening individual bank accounts on the island and with the help of our Mauritius Management company, assists clients with permits, setting up business structures etc.

LEBANETTE joined Brenthurst Wealth in January 2019 as a Legal and Fiduciary Assistant to Malissa Anthony, Head of the Fiduciary Department within the Western Cape region.
She has many years of valuable experience as a Legal Secretary to partners and senior directors of reputable Law Firms and has held key administrative, marketing and management positions throughout her career.
LEE joined Brenthurst Wealth in February 2020 as Office Administrative Assistant and Receptionist for the Stellenbosch office.
Before joining Brenthurst she worked in the Architectural field for 12 years in different roles, including Reception and Personal Assistant to several Directors.
KERRY joined Brenthurst Wealth in March 2017 as an Administrative Assistant to Sonia du Plessis in our Stellenbosch office. In 1996, after a year as a high school maths and science teacher, she entered the financial services industry as a Pension Fund Administrator at Alexander Forbes, Windhoek.
Three years later she relocated to the Western Cape and joined Momentum for a short stint. She was then recruited by Alexander Forbes Financial Services in Stellenbosch where she spent the next 16 years; the first 6 years as a Senior Pension Fund Administrator and the next 10 years as a financial advisor assistant.
Heidi was appointed in July 2021, joining our Cape Town team as an Executive Assistant to Brian Butchart, Brenthurst Wealth’s Managing Director.
She joined the financial industry in 1982 and gained valuable experience working at several providers like Sanlam, Citadel, AIMS, PPS, Alexander Forbes and Graviton Wealth Management. She spent her last 4.5 years working at Graviton Wealth Management as an Executive Financial Assistant.
She obtained her National Certificate in Wealth Management in 2009.
DALEEN was appointed in August 2016, joining our Cape Town team as an Executive Administrative Assistant to Brian Butchart, Brenthurst Wealth’s Managing Director. She joined the insurance industry in 1986 and gained valuable experience working at several providers like Sanlam, Southern Life, Momentum and AIMS.
She spent her last 10 years working at Alexander Forbes Financial Planning Consultants where she was appointed as part of the Wealth Management team and had the opportunity to serve as the Administration Manager of the Western Cape Region for her last 8 years. She managed an administration staff compliment of 22 people and rotated between the Cape Town and Stellenbosch offices. She obtained her Advanced Certification in Financial planning in 2013.
Maryka joined Brenthurst in 2023 as the Receptionist in Tygervalley office and Administrative Assistant to head of the office, Suzean Haumann CFP®
She has over 40 years of administrative work experience. Over her extensive career she has been employed by some of South Africa’s big companies such as Sanlam and Santam.
Prior to joining Brenthurst she completed a decade of service at Thura Brokers as an underwriter. She is new to the financial services industry and is looking forward to broadening her knowledge in this regard.
In her new role at Brenthurst, Maryka is eager to use her skills and experience to contribute to the company’s success.
Greer joined Brenthurst Wealth in 2016 and is currently the Executive Personal Assistant to the Head of the Tygervalley office, Suzean Haumann CFP®.
Greer started her career in the financial industry in 1990 and has gained extensive and valuable knowledge and experience in her various roles throughout her career, both locally in South Africa as well as internationally while residing in New Zealand for 5 years.
She completed the RE5 examination and obtained her RE5 Certificate in 2014. Furthermore, she successfully completed the Introduction to Financial Planning and obtained her NQF5 Wealth Management Certificate in 2022.
Sesetu joined Brenthurst Wealth in April 2018 and started her career as a Receptionist in the Tygervalley office, also providing basic administrative assistance to various Financial Planners. Since the start of her financial career at Brenthurst, Sesetu has excelled in her growth and knowledge.
She is currently a full-time Administrative Assistant to Renee Eagar CFP®.
RONELLE joined Brenthurst Wealth in April 2013. She gained 24 years of valuable experience at Sanlam Life as a Personal Assistant to Senior Management as well as other key administrative support positions throughout her career.
Ronelle is the Administrative Assistant to André Basson who sits in our Tygervalley and Stellenbosch offices.
Sanet was appointed in April 2020, joining our Cape Town team as an Executive Administration Assistant to Renee Eagar. She has been in the financial services industry since 1990. Her previous experience includes positions at Sanlam, BJM and ABSA. She spent her last 12 years working at Alexander Forbes Private Client Wealth as a Senior Wealth Management Assistant. She has received numerous accolades over the years which include but not limited to, Alexander Forbes Client Service Excellence – Silver award in 2014,2015 and 2017. Sanet has also obtained her Certificate in Wealth Management (NQF 5) in 2012 and achieved “Best Student of the Year” from Moonstone.
RENÉ joined Brenthurst Wealth in June 2017 as Administrative Assistant to Marise Smit and Receptionist in our Pretoria office. Her previous experiences include 20 years in the insurance industry, of which 3 years was in Sanlam’s Legal Department.
In 1992 she received an offer to join PPS (Professional Provident Society) as a Broker Consultant. During her first three years of employment with the Society, she completed her Diploma in Marketing Management and was promoted to Senior Marketing Consultant. René worked at PPS for seven years and later joined Citadel Investment Services, in the Compliance Department where she obtained valuable experience.
YOLANDI joined Brenthurst Wealth at the beginning of 2012. She is the Administrative Assistant for Johan Burger at our Pretoria office, focusing on portfolio updates as well as financial administration.
She has a BA Degree in Physical Education, an Honors Degree in Biokinetics as well as her Masters Degree in Human Movement Sciences.
MAGDA joined Brenthurst Wealth in January 2014, as an Administrative Assistant for the Pretoria branch.
Magda entered the financial services industry in 2011 when she joined CUBrokers in Klerksdorp as an assistant to one of their planners. When her boss decided to open her own business, Magda followed her and served as her right hand in building up “Bprepared Brokers” from scratch—assisting her with client queries and general administrative duties. She left their employ when she moved to Pretoria. Prior to that Magda also worked as a chef for a guesthouse in the English countryside.
ZODWA joined the Brenthurst Wealth team in October 2019 as an Administrative Assistant to Leslie Greyling and Danine Van Schalkwyk at our Fourways office.
She manages client administration, which includes portfolio updates and new business. Prior to joining Brenthurst she was working for IOTA Investment Services for 17 years as an Assistant to a senior broker. Leaving IOTA she joined Global & Local Investment Advisors for 2 years performing the same role.
LARA joined the Brenthurst Wealth team in November 2019 as an Administrative Assistant to Mags Heystek at our Sandton office.
She manages client administration, which includes portfolio updates and new business. Prior to joining Brenthurst she was a Registration Specialist at VAT Global. Lara has a passion for dance and in addition to owning her own dance studio, was a ballet instructor and choreographer at different schools. She is a registered dance teacher and holds a qualification from the Royal Academy of Dance.
YOLANDI joined Brenthurst Wealth in June 2021 as an Administrative Assistant to assist Erna Mare at Reception in the Fourways Office.
Prior to assisting Brenthurst, she gained 18 years’ experience at a labour broker company as an office administrator, assisting with all customers’ queries, accounts, and contracts.
She has obtained a B.A. degree (Political Science) at the former RAU
Celeste joined Brenthurst Wealth in February 2021 and is currently an administrative assistant to Arin Ruttenberg in the Sandton office.
Her main responsibilities include handling requests and queries from clients, assisting with new business processes and submitting portfolio updates to ensure the client experience is as smooth as possible.
Prior to joining Brenthurst she worked in the short-term insurance industry for four years where she obtained invaluable experience. Her qualification includes (1) Risk Management Certificate NQF Lvl-6 (2) Programme in Short Term Insurance NQF Lvl-6 and (3) RE.5.
Juanita Clark-Miller joined the Brenthurst team in January 2020, as a legal assistant to Rozanne Heystek-Potgieter with a main focus to assist with deceased estates.
Juanita has 18 years of experience as a legal secretary with a wealth of knowledge in MVA claims, insolvent estates, and most recently conveyancing matters.
Sarah joined Brenthurst Wealth in 2020 as a Senior Administration Assistant to Director and Investment Strategist Magnus Heystek.
She has worked in the financial services industry since 2004 at different established wealth management companies where she gained valuable experience from award-winning financial institutions with a strong focus on investment and retirement planning, offshore investing and risk administration processes.
Throughout her career, she has consistently delivered a high level of service ensuring that processes run as seamlessly as possible.
BUSI joined Brenthurst in 2017 and is an Administrative Assistant to Christoff Potgieter at the Fourways office. She also manages the catering services for clients ensuring high standards are maintained at all times.
Before joining Brenthurst she worked in the retail industry in different roles, including shop assistant at a business operating in a large regional shopping mall.
PHONET joined Brenthurst Wealth in April 2008 and started her career in a support role with catering services for clients, some reception duties and also provided basic administrative assistance.
She has since completed training to develop intermediate computer skills and now works for the administrative team at the Fourways office managing the secure filing of client documentation, stationery supplies and stock management of branded marketing material.

Dorothy has more than 40 years experience in the Financial Industry across various Financial Services Milieus, with a strong focus on processes relating to various financial products.
She obtained her REGISTERED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2010 (also known as the RFP™ designation) through the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa (FPI).
CELESTE has been working closely with Magnus Heystek for the past 25 years, holding the role as his Administrative Assistant and is based in our Fourways office.
She is responsible with handling and managing client administration, which includes portfolio updates.
Rina Hendricks joined Brenthurst Wealth Management in April 2022 as an Administrative Assistant to Danine Van Zyl and Iniel van Zyl.
Rina has more than 50 years experience in the banking and Financial Industry across various fields in banking, risk, investments, linked investments, employee benefits, death claims and Estates for various Companies like African Life, Sanlam, Southern Life, M Cubed Capital, Gerry Pienaar and Associates Pty Ltd, Private Wealth Management with Old Mutual, Hisec Wealth Management (Pty) Ltd and Ascent Wealth Management Pty Ltd with a strong focus on Management and admin processes relating to the various financial products and Companies.
She served as active member on the Job Evaluation Board Committee at Southern Life and on SEMCO, the internal staff union as negotiator for annual salary increases and Disciplinary processes. She obtained her diploma in Labour Relations from RAU in 1998.
She obtained her CFP® in 2020 through the Financial Planning Industry of Southern Africa (FPI) and her RE5 in 2012 also through the Financial Planning Industry of South Africa.
She was nominated for Exceptional Administration Service for several years with Southern Life and also received a special Chairman’s Award from Neil Chapman for excellent Customer Services rendered to various of the Brokers she dealt with. She received the Area Managers Award in 2014 as Senior Administration Assistant at Private Wealth Management at Old Mutual in Clearwater office park in Roodepoort.
CHRISTOFF joined Brenthurst Wealth Management in June 2010. He obtained his REGISTERED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2016 (also known as the RFP™ designation).

Christoff has obtained his Advanced National Certificate in Financial Planning through Milpark and is currently studying to achieve his NQF 7 in order to proceed in obtaining his Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning.
ANDRÉ joined Brenthurst Wealth in 2018 and is head of the Val de Vie Estate office.
In 2020 he was awarded as one of South Africa’s top three Relationship Managers in the SA’s Intellidex Wealth Manager and Private Banks Awards.
André obtained his BCom degree from Stellenbosch University, finishing top of his financial planning class. His postgraduate studies include a BCom (Hons) degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning, also from Stellenbosch University. He obtained his Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning (Cum Laude) from the University of the Free State.

Ruan joined the Brenthurst Wealth Team in 2021 as an advisor/paraplanner and currently works under the direct supervision of Sonia du Plessis and André Basson in our Stellenbosch office.
He obtained his BCom (Financial Sciences) degree at the University of Pretoria in 2018. Consequently, he also enrolled with CIMA (Chartered Institute for Management Accountants) as a prospective CGMA candidate and will complete all the relevant CIMA exams.
He is also currently studying towards his Diploma in Investment Management at the University of the Free State.
Ruan’s previous experience includes “tax and advisory” at Crowe Tax and Advisory Services in Stellenbosch.
Sonia heads up the Stellenbosch office and has been in the financial services industry since 2001. She won the inaugural title of Top Financial Advisor in SA at the 2019 Intellidex Top Private Banks and Wealth Manager Awards and placed second in the 2022 awards.
She previously worked for Magnus Heystek International, as well as ABSA Private Bank, where she gained valuable experience in investment and life insurance matters.
Sonia obtained a BCom degree in 2001 from the University of the Free State and attained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation in 2004.

SUZEAN is head of the Tygervalley office as well as one of the company’s key individuals. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and a registered member of the Financial Planning Institute of South Africa.
She has experience in various aspects of financial planning, focusing on investment and retirement planning. Suzean is also a qualified Foreign Exchange Consultant for the company with a wealth of knowledge in offshore investments.

She has more than 10 years experience as a Financial Advisor Assistant dealing daily with new business and customer service, followed by 10 years as a Portfolio Administrator in a Corporate Company of which the last 3 years she dealt exclusively with Local and Offshore Investments.
Anje further successfully completed her First Level Regulatory Examination for Representatives and is currently studying towards a Higher certificate in Financial Planning (NQF5).
Rozanne is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, a member of the Financial Planning Institute of SA and is fully qualified to give advice on all investment matters. Rozanne is also a fiduciary services specialist, focused on strategic local and cross-border estate planning, will drafting, deceased estate administration and trust administration.
With 13 years experience in the financial services industry, her credentials span from being a CFP ®, admitted attorney, holding a BA in International Studies & Psychology (Monash University), a LLB Degree (UNISA), a Postgraduate degree in Financial Planning (UFS) and a certificate in International Trust Management (Society of Trust and Estate Planners).
Iniel joined Brenthurst Wealth in 2020 following a successful career in law where he obtained vast experience in complex corporate, commercial and financial-investigative matters. During a short period of 2 years, Iniel demonstrated his immense value, expertise and leadership credentials and was promoted to Head of the Brenthurst Fourways Office.
Iniel is an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and holds a BCom (Law) and LLB degree from the University of South Africa as well as Postgraduate Diplomas in Compliance, Financial Planning and Investment Planning from the University of Johannesburg and Free State.
Iniel further holds Postgraduate Certificates in Money Laundering Control, Corporate Governance and Compliance (Cum Laude) from the University of Johannesburg. Iniel is currently enrolled at the University of South Africa for his LLM degree in Banking, Corporate Finance and Securities law and is fully qualified to give advice on all investment matters.
KAREN initially joined Brenthurst in April 2016 as an Administrative Assistant and has evolved in role, currently acting as a Para Planner for Mags Heystek and Arin Ruttenberg under their direct supervision in our Sandton office. She is also a foreign exchange consultant and is qualified to assist with forex related matters.
She has more than 7 years’ experience as a Financial Advisor Assistant dealing with administration work. Karen holds a Diploma in Marketing and Management, a Higher certificate in Financial Planning (NQF5), and an Advanced Certificate in Financial Planning (NQF6).

MAGS is the head of the Sandton office, and also serves as the key individual for Johannesburg.

GAVIN joined Brenthurst Wealth in March 2007 and presently heads up our office in Mauritius, whilst still servicing our offices in South African with matters in respect to tax and accounting.

RICHUS is head of the Brenthurst Bellville and Stellenbosch office.
He has been in the financial services industry since January 2004 and has worked for Investec Trust and Fiduciary services in the Channel Islands (Guernsey and Jersey) and Geneva.
In 2008 he moved back to join Investec Private Bank in Cape Town. Richus has a B.Comm Management Accountancy degree from the University of Stellenbosch. He completed his audit articles at Logista Auditors and Accountants (Stellenbosch) and completed his ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualifying exams in December 2011.

GAVIN ESTERHUYZEN joined Brenthurst Wealth in July 2018 as a Junior Financial Planner under the supervision of Certified Financial Planner Johan Burger.
He qualified with a BSc Mathematical Statistics degree in 2012 from the University of South Africa as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning at the University of the Free State in 2017. He also passed the CFA Level 1 examination and is currently studying towards the CFP and CFA designation.
Gavin previously worked at Simeka (Sanlam) Consultants and Actuaries, gaining exposure to Retirement fund valuations and also worked at ABSA Private Bank being mostly involved with Investment analysis.
GERALDINE joined our team at BMW on January 2019.
She is designated as Administrator Assistant to our Magnus Jnr Heystek and Danine van Schalkwyk. Having earned her diploma of Executive Secretary Human Resources Management from College SA, she understands the process of recruiting and business organisations. As a researcher administrator, she gained her skills as an office administrator. She particularly enjoyed working within the corporate industry where patience and persistence was her key motivator. Geraldine is based at our Fourways Offices, Johannesburg.
Desmond started his career as a Commercial Banker in 1983, and later became involved with Private Banking and Wealth Management in 1999.
He gained extensive experience in managing relationships with High-Net-Worth Families, Financial Planning and Fiduciary matters while with the Absa Group and Standard Bank.
Desmond is head of financial planning at our Johannesburg office. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Tax Practitioner and is fully qualified to give advice on all investment matters.
